About me
Heey :)
I’m Vanesa, a graphic designer currently based in Rotterdam. My path toward design began long before I was aware of it. I studied for three years at an art school in Lithuania, where my passion for creative expression grew and thrived through painting, drawing, sculpture, and composition. These foundations later led me to WdKA, where I expanded into more conceptual and research-driven design.
I am a designer who combines conceptual thinking with experimental image-making and structured visual systems.
I enjoy working with different materials and media, especially image-making, photography, and illustration. This curiosity makes my projects playful and unique.
I can translate research into clear visual concepts, build visual and editorial systems, and use typography, composition, and material experimentation to form strong visual narratives.
My work often draws inspiration from nature, organic shapes that support structure rather than contradict it, which likely comes from growing up surrounded by nature.
I see connections between emotions, memory, and the visual world, and I pay attention to small details that reveal how people experience their inner lives.
I like to explore themes such as nostalgia, the past, psychology, well-being, and emotional transformation, as well as the relationship between music and visual identity. I feel most confident when creating conceptual work where every design element has a clear intention.
I believe design becomes meaningful when it carries emotional honesty, thoughtful intention, and a sense of life through both structure and experimentation.
What once was a tool for self-expression has grown into a way to understand, connect with, and interpret the world around me.
