About me
Heey :)
I’m Vanesa, a graphic designer currently based in Rotterdam.
My path toward becoming a designer began long before I was even aware of it. I studied for three years at an art school in Lithuania, where my passion for creative expression first grew and thrived. There, I built a strong foundation in painting, drawing, sculpture, and composition, which later led me to study at WdKA and explore design in a broader and more conceptual way.
I enjoy experimenting with different materials and media, with image-making, photography, and illustration as my main focus. This curiosity makes my projects playful and unique. My style often draws inspiration from nature—organic shapes and elements that don’t contradict structure but rather enhance it—making my works both metaphorically and literally more alive. These roots likely come from growing up surrounded by nature.
In my work, I like to explore themes of nostalgia and the past, psychology and well-being, emotions and transformation, as well as the relationship between music and visual identity. I’m always open to exploring new topics and experimenting with unfamiliar materials and ideas. I feel most confident when creating conceptual works rooted in a deeply research-driven approach, where every detail is connected and each design element has its own place and purpose.
What once was a tool for self-expression has grown into something bigger— a way to understand, connect with, and shape the world around me.
