Carpogram

EXPERIMENTAL IMAGE-MAKING, BRANDING

The term Carpogram comes from the Greek words karpós (fruit) and -gramma (something written or drawn). In Greek mythology, Carpus represents fertility and springtime — symbols of growth and renewal. By merging these roots, Carpogram defines a process where natural materials, such as fruits, leave their own visual imprint on photographic paper.

An experimental series exploring fruit-based image-making through a reimagined photogram process. Using expired photographic paper, UV light, and the natural pigments of fruits, I created a collection of vivid organic prints — each shaped by chemical reactions between fruit acids and light.

The results were later developed into posters and beeswax-based material experiments, merging nature, time, and visual chemistry.
