Floral Palette
NATURAL ROSE-BASED PAINTING SET
Floral Palette is an experimental project that explores how natural materials can be used to create sustainable colors for art and design. I developed a set of handmade rose-based dyes that can be used like watercolor paints. Each pigment was extracted from real rose petals through a process of boiling, concentrating, and mixing with natural binders.
The set includes ten unique colors and a small jar of “Bloom Crystals”, citric acid powder that reacts with the dyes to create bright red, blooming patterns on paper. This reaction became a key visual element in my design process and inspired a promotional poster showing how the colors can be used creatively in graphic design.
The project combines material research, experimentation, and visual communication. It reflects my interest in sustainability, transformation, and the poetic relationship between nature and design—turning something temporary, like a rose, into something lasting and usable.
